The inspiration behind Sandra Azwan Cruise 2014-15 collection at KLFW2014.
It’s all about looking sharp and feminine with a sense of edginess. Each dresses have its own personifications and attitude; Sporty, Elegance, Girly and Cool. It’s all up to the wearer to choose which style suits them the best. Clearly, there is an art of boldness, color blocking, structured abstraction of geometrical lines combined with a simple silhouette just to make it glamorously wearable prêt-et-porter.
“I always wanted to create a series of looks that together, made an impact on the catwalk and actually wearable on their own. I wanted to create garments that would fit beautifully and perfectly into everyday life, and would be worn through the eyes of the wearer, how and when they wanted.
As a designer my key focus is on creating a strong modern silhouette with sophisticated tailoring and creative pattern cutting. A big part of my inspiration comes from the graphic lines found in architecture and I have used this to create modern designs based on my artistic point of view.”
